July 2019 Pharmacy BEST focused on the changes to pharmacyfirst with a presentation from Chris Lawson. Tom Bisset also gave an update on TCAM.

May 2019 

May Pharmacy BEST had a presentation from Jeremy Budd about the development of the New Primary Care Networks in Barnsley, 

March 2019

Tom Bisset gave an update on changes to Pharmacyfirst service, Transfer of care around medicines and medicines management update. 

January 2019 

January Pharmacy BEST had a presentation from Phil Ainsworth, from BMBC raising awareness about suicide prevention, together with updates on stock shortages, Changes to the Medicines management Scheme, Quality Payments Scheme and commissioning update from Tom Bisset.   

November 2018

November Pharmacy BEST had a guide to prescribing thickners for adults from Jackie Senior, Clinical Lead Speech and Language Therapist information on the Smoking Cessation Service from Simon Lister of Yorkshire Smokefree Barnsley.   Tom Bisset provided an update on the National Clinical Audit, Quality Payments Scheme for 2018/19 and commissioning. 

September 2018 

September Pharmacy BEST focused on Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) and changes to locally commissioned services. Dr Steve Lobaz, Consultant in Anaesthetics and Intensive Care Medicine Fluid and AKI Lead Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust nad Tom Bisset were the speaker for the event.  

July 2018

Pharmacy BEST in July  Eye Care, Electronic Repeat Dispensing together with local and national updates.  The speakers included Nizz Sabir, Commissioning Lead Local Optical Support Unit, Faheem Ismail, Implementation & Business Change EPS, NHS Digital together with Tom Bisset.

May 2018

May Pharmacy BEST  featured Kate Faulkes, Head of Stronger Communities at BMBC talking about Barnsley area councils, Jacqui Pollington, Lead Respiratory Nurse, BHNFT spoke about oxygen use and what the evidence is around it. Tom Bisset gave and update on national and local issues. 

March 2018

The pharmacy BEST event in March featured 2 keynote talks. Chris Lawson, Head of the CCG's Head of Medicines Management, spoke about the new Medications Management Service in communities, and Thomas Bisset provided national and regional updates.
